River Club (August-10) registration is July-06 through July-11
Plans for play will likely be the same as Mount Vintage and Stoney Point Stoney Point, July-13 at 10:00 a.m. We will again be having a shotgun start and two players per cart. Our two playing tees at Stoney Point are: Back tees will be 5,755 yards. Those tees are Gold; Forward tees will be 4,950 yards. Those tees are Red. We continue to encourage ‘social distancing’ prior to play and encourage masks when we are all together. We will try to limit any starting announcements to minimize group contact. If you are comfortable with not wearing a mask during play, or chose to carpool to the tournament, that is each person’s/group’s decision. After play while scores are being tabulated we again encourage social distancing and masks. We will be handing out and collecting scorecards masked and gloved. During play flag sticks should be left in the cup and not handled by the players. Cups have a 'pool noodle' insert to minimize contact with the hole. Putt lip-outs are considered the rub of the green. So no ‘gimmies’ for lip outs. The Closest to Pin markers do involve some handling. If you are concerned about this we suggest you bring hand sanitizer to use after touching and signing the marker. Please try to remember to bring your own pencils for scoring and marking the Closest to Pin. That will further minimize potential surface contact issues. Stoney Point has removed the bunker rakes. If you are in a bunker and in a footprint you may smooth the area and place the ball back in it’s original location or take one club length relief, but not out of the bunker. Always try to scuff your footprints in any bunker to help those playing after you. Rolling the ball in your own fairway continues to be in effect. There are no water barrels on the course so remember to bring your own containers. Water will be available at the clubhouse or you can bring it with you. Thanks to everyone for their support and cooperation in helping restart and continue the season. CSRA Officers Comments are closed.
