Tournament Instructions

 PLEASE   Do  the  Following:

  • Please send in a tournament entry form with a separate check for your entry. List the name of your preferred playing partner(s) on your entry form. You may include up to three other names.  If you don’t list anyone, we will pair you up with other players to fill out each tee slot.
  • Please inform us as early as possible when you must withdraw from a tournament. The deadline is no later than noon of the Sunday of the week that the tournament is scheduled to be played.
  • Please arrive at least 20 minutes before the scheduled start time for each tournament and collect your score card first thing. We will begin announcements 10-15 minutes before the scheduled tee off time so that we can begin on time.
  • When filling out your scorecards please include your score for each hole.  Make sure you and the scorekeeper Sign and Attest the scorecards.  Incorrect score cards could lead to disqualification.
  • For CSRA Seniors tournaments, no more than a double bogey can be reported.
  • Be aware of your pace of play. Please keep up with the group ahead of you. We do not expect any group to finish more than 30 minutes behind the first group in the clubhouse. To facilitate this; play ready golf, carry more than 1 club to your ball, record scores after you move to the next tee, be sure to pick up when your best score can be double bogey, limit your practice swings, move smartly from the green to your cart, etc.
  • When you finish your round, turn in your scorecard first thing. We make every effort to process all scorecards and have all prizes given out promptly. In general, unclaimed prizes will be left with the course and it is the responsibility of the player to claim them. The Leadership team reserves the right to utilize an unclaimed prize to purchase merchandise in the golf shop of the course for distribution to the membership in future events, if it deems it in the best interest of the CSRA Seniors Golf Association.

We will make every effort to have all prizes given out promptly. As soon as all players in a flight have turned in their cards we will strive to have results ready for that flight in 20 minutes or less.

Best of luck to all.

Cancellation  Policy

If you choose to withdraw from a tournament, you must notify the Tournament Director by sending an email to [email protected], by noon of the Sunday before the tournament is scheduled to be played. If you do not notify the Tournament Director by noon your entry fee will be forfeited. Please make sure you use the  [email protected] email,  All Tournament Officers have access to this email address.  Do not call or email the individual CSRA Seniors Officers because there is no guarantee that the specific Officer will be working/playing a given tournament.

Cancellations need to have a valid reason. Please note that weather or anticipated cart path only conditions of play are not a valid reasons.

Weather conditions: The club professional will determine whether a tournament should be cancelled, delayed, or what cart conditions will be in place due to inclement weather. The Officers will try to notify all players as much in advance as possible but understand that most calls are made the morning of the tournament. Failure to participate and/or finish in a tournament that is played will result in a forfeiture of your entry fee, just like a late cancellation. If you have any doubt if a tournament is still on, you are responsible for contacting the club. Club phone numbers can be found on the CSRA Seniors Schedule. If a tournament is cancelled prior to the starting time, all checks will be destroyed.
